Our Ambassadors

Everyone is unique in their own way, and those living with disability are no different. At the Dylan Alcott Foundation, we believe in amplifying the voices of individuals with lived experiences to better represent our diverse community. By actively involving these voices through co-design and collaboration, we aim to drive meaningful societal change. Our commitment is to enhance opportunities for young Australians with disability, ensuring they can thrive through our foundation's programs and initiatives. Together, we’re not just advocating for change; we’re making it happen.

Liam Twomey

DAF Grant Recipient & Paralympian.

"My name is Liam Twomey and I lost my right leg to cancer when I was seven years old. I struggled with my physical and personal identity as a teenager, but was fortunate to find sport as an adult. I have been a Dylan Alcott Foundation grant recipient since 2019 and their support has been integral in my recent achievement in becoming apart of the Paris 2024 Australian Paralympic team. I'm really proud to be the newest ambassador, and hope to have the opportunity to continue to grow more opportunities for young kids with disability around Australia."
