Meet Alex, who dreams of representing the Adelaide Crows in wheelchair AFL. Through your donations, the DAF has been able to support Alex with a customised Melrose Wheelchair specific to his sport AFL. We're pumped to get behind Alex has he develops in his love for the game.
Pumped to announce Bec as our second Rexona movement grant. Thanks to our partners, we've supported her with a new Strike Force Power Wheelchair so she can continue to represent Australia and excel in her love for the sport.
Stoked to introduce our good mate Andrew. We loved catching up to witness Andrew's mentoring session with industry expert Tom Evans, as they curated tunes together. Excited to share his journey with you as he works toward becoming a music producer.
Competing in the individual and pairs boccia events, Dan has held top world rankings for a number of years. We're fortunate to have been part of his journey providing support with equipment. Congratulations to both Dan and boccia pairs partner Jam, for qualifying for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. We can't wait to get behind you both!
Thanks to your support, the foundation has been able to support Jamieson with Boccia equipment, assisting her development as a top world ranked Paralympic athlete over the years. Through our time with her, we've learnt the importance of having the correct equipment when training and competing at the elite level. Congratulations to both Jam and boccia pairs partner Dan, for qualifying for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

We loved catching up with Dan to chat about his new wheels named 'Nimbus', and learn more about his journey competing at the World Cup level and his goals on the horizon.
Meet our mate Joe, who competes slalom with the dream to represent Australia at the Winter Paralympic Games. Your donations have enabled Joe access to a specialised training camp, empowering him to level up in his training and competitions.
Watch this space as together, we support Sonny's dreams of competing at the Paralympics in wheelcahir tennis. When asked about his 2024 AO experience as the first ever wheelchair ball kid he said, "I just wanted to give them [young kids with disability] that spark of hope that means I [they] will be able to do it!"

A neurodiverse cheerleader who dreams of making cheer a full time career, with her sights set to make Worlds. The foundation has been able to assist with coaching, registrations and at home equipment giving her the opporunity to level up in her training.
We're so pumped to share Kylo's grant, being the first of its kind!
Your donations have funded a Smart Pup for Kylo to help him adjust to new environments, particularly as he starts school. We loved catching up to learn more about the process in acquiring an asssistance dog.
Georgia is a low vision para alpine skier breaking into the elite scene. Focussed on her paralympic dream, she is off to Northern Europe to level up in her training and competitons.
Through your support, DAF is providing coaching, equipment, snow passes, competition fees and training gear via our Nike family.

We've been able to support Liv with equipment for an at home studio so she can pursure a career in music.

Meet grant recipient Lachlan Skellet. It was awesome to hit the slopes and learn about Lach's dreams of making the Olympics in Snowboarding.
Through your donations, we've been able to support Lach with coaching, mountain pass' and all the equipment needed to become an elitist in his field.

Meet grant recipient and para triathlete Maggie Sandles.
Up until recently, Maggie and her guide have been borrowing a tandem bike for training and competitions. Thanks to your donations, they now have a fresh set of wheels tailored to their needs.
Congratulations to both for placing 7th at the World Champs in Spain '23.
Sophia dreams of finishing her masters and making performing the Viola a full time career.
A major limitation that she experiences with her disability is being able to practice for long periods of time with her current Viola, its size, weight and set up.
Thanks to your donations, we’re able to give her the best possible chance of achieving her dreams of performing and composing. Shout out to the team at the Sydney String Centre for the tour and the time dedicated to finding Sophia the correct instrument that suits her.
Inspired through his love of Marvel and DC Comics, Tom wanted to create and express his imagination with his own comic book. Through your donations, we were able to facilitate mentorship for Tom’s journey, the publication of three different stories, plus obtain the assistance of three artists who brought his vision to life.

To take your sporting dreams to the next level, it’s paramount to have the support by using the correct equipment. Teammates Alex and Isobella show off their new foundation basketball wheels.
Meet grant recipient Asha Hickford. Through your support, we've been able to support Asha with the necessary equipment, coaching and training memberships to take her Inline Speed Skating to the next level. Since her grant, Asha secured her first international medal in the senior division, placing third in the 300mTT at the European Cup in Germany.

‘Houndog Harry’ was busy during Covid writing and creating music with mentor Luke Edwards.
Through your donations, we were able to support Harry by funding the recording and mastering of his two tracks “My Life’s Delicious” and “I’m Going Out”.
Harry now has his very own personalised drum kit, presented by Dylan and his favourite band Hilltop Hoods on the mainstage at Ability Fest ‘23.
Raff is 10 years old and seeing Dylan play tennis gave him something to strive for. We interview Bryce from Melrose Wheelchairs to understand how important a custom tennis chair is to ensure your chair becomes a part of you and the player you are.
Grant recipient Jack Howell talks to us about his journey over the last couple of years and how important it is to have the right equipment in triathlon.
In 2021 Jack was ranked 31st in the world and with the foundations support and thanks to your donations. Jack has made his international debut and reached a career high of a #6 world ranking.
His sights are now set on the Paralympics. Go Jack!
Grant recipient Michael Morgan dreams of refining his impressionist technique with the goal of selling his pieces one day. Thanks to your donations he is one step closer!
We’ve been able to support Michael with a one on one session, and a 3 day workshop with his fellow impressionist artist Colley Whisson.
Meet grant recipient, Nathan Smith, a keen artist who loves creating his own beats. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to kit him out so he can take the next steps in his music producing journey.

Meet Jasper Lang, Neurodiverse with a passion for Karate. We’ve been able to fund Jasper’s ongoing involvement in class’, enabling him to move more in the sport he loves.

Connor wanted to be a personal trainer so we supported him to get his personal training qualifications. He has since graduated and got his first job. We went down to Iron Edge in Melbourne and had some fun letting Connor take us through a session.
Crystal has been granted one on one acting classes and mentoring with renowned actress, Kate Mulvany. We had the pleasure of seeing her perform in Shakespearean Theatre playing a modern day Richard.
Meet grant recipient Sebastian Webster, multiclass swimmer.
Unable to wear his cochlear implants in the pool, we’ve supported Seb with a remote strobe light & swimstart electronic start system. He’s loving his new equipment, allowing him to focus on leveling up in his swimming.
In 2021 we granted Charlie a strikeforce power chair for football and he's been loving it ever since. At the time, Dyl was able to visit him in hospital on our trip to SA as he wasn’t feeling 100%. Charlie reassured Dyl he can't wait to be back out there competing very soon, and vowed to dominate Dyl on the court when he gets the chance! He even showed off his latest trophy. Thanks to the PICU at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for having us!

Meet grant recipient, Cooper Smith. As one of our original recipients at the foundation, we’ve had the privilege of watching Cooper’s music journey grow each year.
It all began with a grant for DJ equipment, now he’s tearing up the main stage at Ability Fest ‘23, releasing his own tracks and now signed with Thick As Thieves agency.
What a journey so far, we can’t wait to see what he achieves next!
As a foundation, we’re so excited to announce that we have partnered with our friends at NEC Australia to grant Cameron with further education in the IT space.
Together we interviewed many applicants who were all seeking assistance with further education at a pre-grad level at University.
We’re excited to mentor Cameron alongside NEC for the next 3 years as he completes his studies at Deakin University.
Paddy is a grant recipient of the foundation based in Canberra. His request was to build a business that saw him challenged but satisfied after he finished year 12 (2019).
We worked closely with his family & an autism specialist, Erika Gleeson, to create Paddy’s Pick-Up; a pick up washing, drying and delivery service for small to medium sized businesses in Canberra. We can’t wait to help Paddy build and grow his business
Grant recipient Sam, our very own Picasso! Through the foundation, we were able to provide Sam with mentorship to develop and hone his skills as an artist.
Since then, he’s smashed two of his goals already - participating in Port Macquarie's Art Walk and selling originals, prints and cards.
The importance of a customised power chair is something that the foundation has learnt thanks to the knowledge and passion of Jonathan. He is the president of SA power chair football and was our first strike force chair recipient. Then we met Josh! Spending some time in SA with them and their team was incredibly special to see the impact your donations can and do have.
We’re so excited to announce that we, together with the Comport Family, are continuing on the scholarship at Brighton Grammar School that Dylan himself was lucky enough to have.
Together, we have granted Alex schooling at BGS starting in Year 3.
Liam is a grant recipient of the foundation based in Melbourne. He has been competitively competing in triathlons for the last few years since losing part of his leg to cancer when he was 7.
One of the most interesting things we learnt in working with Liam and GIANT Bikes is that he in fact needs 3 different ‘legs’ to compete. He also needs two different bikes. Ensuring that Liam can best train & compete has been a big focus for the foundation. We wish Liam all the best in the upcoming Olympic trials and beyond.
The foundation met Sam mid 2019 when he reached out for us to help him with his confidence and self-esteem. Sam has Cerebral Palsy and is deaf which can mean making new friends at high school can be more difficult.
We wanted to find something that would improve his confidence, while aiding his mental and physical health. A tricycle was the best solution which now enables him to ride independently to high school everyday.
Dina dreams of ensuring all music festivals, venues and events are acessible and inclusive for all. The foundation was able to support her through an access consulting course. Fast forward, Dina now runs her own business called Tibi Access, a consultancy specifically for live music and events.
Breagh is a grant recipient of the foundation based in Brisbane. Her request was to be supported to write and publish a book that empowers young Australians with disability.
The foundation worked with Breagh & her mentor, Julie, to ensure the book was filled with interviews, tips and personal experiences. We then worked with a local publisher to give Breagh the proper book publishing experience. We are sure this is the first of many books for our young author, Breagh.
Our first ever Dylan Alcott Foundation grant; Jin.
Already hitting a mean forehand, helping Jin get into a custom Melrose Tennis Chair will seriously help his progression up the ranks in junior wheelchair tennis.
